Sweep Picking Lesson
And betcha can’t play this at the end. A lot of you are asking about how I play my sweeps cleanly. I’ve recieved questions such as “Do you mute with your thumb, or your palm?” So I figured I could answer all of your answers in this brief video. NOTE: I apologize for my rambling. I recorded this at 7:30 AM so I’m not exactly warmed up and in the greatest mind set to make a video.

I’m pretty sure the best way is to thumb mute.
Look at Tom Hess, Mike Phillippov, and Zack Uidl..
I can’t even see how it’s possible to
It definitely is.
Rusty cooley and yngwie malmsteen and Michael Romeo use there palms, so I don’t see how that’s a valid argument.
Palm muting is easy as hell.
you have a good taste in amps, i fell in love wit mine, im more of a bc rich guitar person though
you look like mike myers :OOOOOOO
Michael angelo batio( he is the cleanest player ever) mutes with his Fretboard hand, Do you know he does that?
I’ve seen cleaner players than Batio. I don’t know how he does it
Cleaner than batio O.o? That is immbosible.
No you just have to be less close minded about guitarists. Micheal Romeo is cleaner, Paul Gilbert is cleaner and much more creative of a player than Batio, to name a few
Best guitar players IMO:
Michael angelo batio
Steve Vai
Herman Li
Sam totman
Yngwie malmstee
ye i know that you may not like about Herman and Sam but they were the 1st “Shredder” guitarists that i heard and it was on 2005.
jeff loomis…
Sorry forgot him ” Zero phrase order” is a kick ass album
I’d agree with zakkrandydimshrd.
Paul Gilbert is by far the cleanest shredder I’ve heard and can pick up speeds that MAB can without even sweeping.
It sounds like you’ve only listened to the most mainstream shredders. Dig deeper dude.
Plz name his fastest songs.
He likes to play tastefully, so doesn’t just blast out a million notes a second. But if you just simply type into the youtube search bar “Paul Gilbert Lesson”, you’ll see.
The best way is the way that feels the most comfortable to the player.
what about becker?? cant forget jason!
ye his music was great but its sad what happend to him ;(. I am sure that he had much of great music to make godbless him.
i think shawn lane is the fastest but you dont even notice it because its so tasteful haha
what kind of Jackon yo have?
@zakkrandydimshrd Hell yeah, Paul Gilbert is a beast.
